Power Trip
‘Power Trip - The Adventures of Watty and Volt’ is a unique performance-based program, developed in conjunction with Queensland Arts Council. It’s designed to teach children about electricity, electrical safety, energy efficiency and sustainability.
'Power Trip’ is performed in schools across Queensland as part of Queensland Arts Council’s
Ontour inschools and showcases two characters, mischievous Watty and sensible Volt, who travel through time and learn about various energy-related issues.
Students benefit from the story-telling format by being educated through entertainment. The program is linked to the Queensland school curriculum and supported by pre and post-performance classroom lessons.

Ergonia
Ergonia is specifically designed for young students to learn everything there is to know about energy in an interactive way including where it comes from, how you can use it safely and efficiently, and how you can help the environment.
There’s even a Home Safety Check so students can apply what they’ve learned about electrical safety at home.
Plus, there are lots of fun and interesting facts to learn about as well as screensavers, stickers and a game to play.
Solar Schools Program
As part of its sponsorship of the Environmental Protection Agency’s Solar School Program from 2002 to 2007, Ergon Energy installed solar power systems and energy monitoring equipment at 26 schools throughout regional Queensland.
The program provided schools with the chance to educate students and teachers on renewable energy generation, with the solar power systems linked to an existing school computer to monitor the power output and greenhouse gas savings provided by the system.
