Ergon Energy continues to show its commitment to communities across Queensland through its support of the Green Team.

This program involves our employees who share a passion for the environment and want to make a difference.

Membership of the Green Team is voluntary and most activities take place during the employees' own time. We assist by donating corporate resources to help the Green Team with their initiatives.

The Green Team has participated in a number of events including: 

• Clean Up Australia Day
• World Environment Day
• National Tree Day
• Landcare
• Greening Australia revegetation projects
• Local environment festivals

In 2004 the Ergon Energy Green Team won the Corporate Award in the annual Queensland Arbour Day Awards.
